Cougars win first game

Zebulon Middle School shut out the Durant Road Dolphins 14-0 in the 2009 season's first football game.

The two Cougar touchdowns came from Thomas Jones on a 30-yard run and Mister Taylor on a 65-yard pass from quarterback Trenton Evans.

Zebulon's first scheduled game against East Millbrook was rained out. The teams played at East Millbrook Monday. Results were not available at press time.

The Cougars face West Millbrook on the road today (Wednesday) at 3:45 p.m.

Zebulon has lost three games in as many years heading into 2009 season.
