Sixth-grade students at Zebulon Middle School listened as local veterans shared their stories about war times. Many visiting veterans brought items such as photograps of their ships, medals earned and uniforms to show students.

Every November, social studies teacher Debbie Beavers dedicates a few days to veterans from various conflicts, including World War II, and the Korean, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf wars.
