ZEBULON — Hettie Belle Brantley, 91, died March 29. Funeral was April 1 at Massey Funeral Home chapel. Burial was at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

In addition to being a farmer's wife, she ran a country store in the Union Hope Church community, worked for Devil Dog Manufacturing in Zebulon, and was an LPN at Wendell-Zebulon Hospital and Guardian Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; and daughter, Annette.

Surviving: sons, Billy Brantley and wife Rose of Raleigh, Glenn Brantley and wife Shirley of Knightdale, Bruce Brantley and wife Judy of Raleigh, Wayne Brantley and wife Bessie of Wendell; daughters, Ella Langley and husband Jim of Zebulon, Alice White and husband Glenn of Zebulon, Lena Antill and husband Larry of Spring Hope; sisters, Martha Branch of Middlesex, Alice Yotter of Kinston; brother, Miley J. Denton of Zebulon; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
