WENDELL – Robert Odell Black, Sr., 95, of 2213 Davistown Rd., died peacefully Wednesday morning at home. He was born in Davidson County, son of the late Lundy Jane Clodfelter and Robert Thomas Black. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Annie Morton Black in 2005; children, Donald Black, Robert O. Black, Jr. and Kimberly Kolenic.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Rex Holland of Wendell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Private burial was held at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.

Arrangements were by Strickland Funeral Home, Wendell.
