A native of Wake County she was the daughter of Phyllis Weathers Norman and the late Robert Lee Norman.

Dorffeld was the secretary with Fisher-Rex Sandwich Company.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., in the L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. George Pullium officiating. Burial will follow at Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Robert Edward "Bob" Dorffeld; two daughters, Rhonda Norman Turner and her husband, Geoffrey Allen Turner of Sasebo, Japan, April Norman Fasone and her husband, Robert Patrick Fasone of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Ann Brock and Tammy Lynn Norman, both of Knightdale; and three three grandchildren.

The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 6-8 p.m.at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, and other times at the home of Berry Richardson, 1418 N. Smithfield Road, Knightdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wake Cross Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3329 Forestville Road, Raleigh.
