MIAMI, FLA. – William D. Massey, 91, of Miami, Fla., formerly of
Wendell, died Thursday, April 27, 2009.He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Faison Massey.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday in Gethsemane Memorial
Gardens in Zebulon with family members officiating.Survivors include three daughters, Linsey MacKenn of Miami, Fla., Anita
Gajus and husband Paul of Coconut Beach, Fla. and Marie Averett and
husband Jimmy of Knoxville, Tenn.; and four grandsons.Strickland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
