WENDELL – Daniel Davis, 86 of Wendell died Tuesday, April 21, 2009. He was a World War II veteran of the U S Army. He served in the military police where he earned Five Bronze Stars. He was son of the late Coy and Essie Hockaday Davis.

Memorial service will be held 7 p.m tonight at East Wake Church of God, 2709 NC Hwy 97, Wendell.

Survivors include his wife, Emma W. Davis; two daughters, Kathy D. Whitley and her husband Kenneth of Middlesex and Wanda Davis of Knightdale; two sons, Daniel Davis Jr. and his wife Brenda of Franklinton and Samuel Davis and his wife Janis of Youngsville; 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
