State Rep. Darren Jackson wants to spend some time listening.

Jackson, who represents eastern Wake County in the N.C. State House of Representatives, will host a Town Hall meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Knightdale Town Hall.

Jackson wants to gauge public sentiment on the budget before legislators in the House vote on that chamber’s version of the state’s two-year spending plan.

State legislators are trying to cover an estimated $4 billion revenue shortfall over the next two years.
