Willow Spring — A Wendell woman and a Raleigh man died in a motorcycle accident here Thursday evening, the N.C. Highway Patrol reported.

Curtis Lloyd Price, 69, was traveling north on Jackson King Road, which is also the road he lives on, Trooper D.L. Mobley said. Shortly after 9:30 p.m., Jamal Thomas El-Ferkh collided into the side of Price’s 1995 Dodge pickup while Price was making a left turn into a driveway, the trooper said.

El-Ferkh, 24, of Raleigh, and his passenger, Brittany Custer, 18, of Wendell, were thrown from El-Ferkh’s 1996 Honda motorcycle into the road, Mobley said. Tony Matthew Lee Jr., 23, was driving behind El-Ferkh in a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle, the trooper said. Lee, a Raleigh resident, tried to avoid a collision by laying his motorcycle on its side, which in turn ejected him from it, Mobley said.

Price and Lee were taken to WedMed in Raleigh, but no serious injuries were reported. The cause of the fatal accident is still under investigation.
