Starting with our Nov. 4 editions, we are converting obituary notices and special occasion announcements such as engagements, weddings, anniversaries and births from editorial content to advertising. This change will allow readers to include as much information as they wish in such notices and have them appear in any of our community newspapers and The News & Observer.

To submit obituaries, funeral homes should submit the information online, using the same process as for notices in The News & Observer, or call our Obituary Desk at 829-4545.
