Golf tournaments

Wakefield Central Baptist Church's Belarusian Ministry will host a golf tournament at Zebulon Country Club Nov. 6 to raise money to bring children from the former Soviet state of Belarussia to Zebulon next summer. Registration begins at 10 a.m. and golf starts at 11 a.m. Cost is $75 per person or $300 per team for the Captains Choice/Superball event. The fee includes a round of golf, a mulligan and a meal. Vision Baptist Church will host a golf tournament Oct. 26 at Riverwood Golf Club to help raise money for their building fund. Finance course

Freed-Up Financial Living, a course in financial planning, will be offered Wednesdays from Oct. 21-Nov. 18 at Knightdale United Methodist Church, 7071 Forestville Road, Knightdale. The course is designed to help people at all stages of their lives effectively deal with day-to-day financial issues. The course is free. Childcare is available.
