RALEIGH -- A Zebulon man died early this morning after his vehicle ran off the road and struck a mailbox, a tree and an embankment three miles south of Rolesville.

Tommy Eugene Fogg, 24, of 10 Homeplace Lane, Zebulon, crossed the center line while traveling along Mitchell Mill Road at a speed higher than the posted limit, according to state Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers were continuing an investigation into the incident.
