Knightdale -- Wake County Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday arrested a Knightdale man for stabbing a woman twice with a barbecue fork earlier this month.Garrett Brown, 20, of 1004 Oakgrove Dr. was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He is accused of stabbing Phyllis Hatchett, of 1220 Lynwood Road, about 11 p.m. on July 6 after she went outside to let out her dog.Knightdale Police Lt. D.R. Simmons said Hatchett saw two men walking toward her door and one of them asked if her niece was at home.When she told him her niece was not there, Brown allegedly stabbed her in the right forearm with the fork, Simmons said.She screamed, and then the man stabbed her again in the arm, Simmons said.Neighbors heard the scream and turned on their lights, and the men ran away. “She had seen him before and did recognize him,” said Simmons.Brown was arrested July 15 and is out of the Wake County jail on $5,000 bond.
