BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT
Advantage Hospice and the Triangle East Fellowship of Churches hold interfaith bereavement meetings the first Monday of every month from 7-8 p.m. at Wendell United Methodist Church (129 N. Main St.). “Our goal is to give spiritual, professional and community support during a time of need,” organizer June Kempinski said. No fees or commitments are required in order to attend. NORTHSIDE COMMUNITY CHURCH

ROCKY CROSS HOLINESS
The church will have a yard sale and bake sale Saturday, June 28, from 7 a.m.–noon. There will be homemade desserts for sale as well as homemade biscuits for breakfast. GLORY CLOUD AND FIRE MINISTRIES

A cancer support group for those dealing with cancer, those who have lost loved ones to cancer, cancer survivors, friends and family members affected by cancer meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Next meeting date is July 3.

Alzheimer’s and dementia support group for family and friends of Alzheimer’s or dementia patients and for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Next meeting date is June 19.

These support groups are open to the public and meet in the Hendricks Fellowship Hall of the church at 308 Proctor St. in Zebulon.

HEPHZIBAH BAPTIST

KNIGHTDALE BAPTIST
“Wonderful Wednesdays” programs will be Wednesday nights this summer. Programs include Son Force Kids for ages 3-sixth-graders with games, stories, music and crafts; YAK Live for youths grades seven-12 with recreation, music videos and movie clips designed to deepen their Christian lives; “Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts” for adults complete with Bible study to understand the nature of spiritual gifts, a spiritual gifts “test” and discussion. SAINT EUGENE CATHOLIC
“Ten Secrets to Stress-Free Living” will be Saturday, June 21, from 8-10 a.m. This is a humorous practical workshop presented by best-selling author and nationally recognized expert Kirk Martin who has trained over 22,000 parents and teachers, a news release said. Celebration Calm specialized in working with intense children, including families affected by AD/HD, anxiety, sensory issues, Aspergers, autism, ODD and OCD. Admission is free and open to the public.

Saint Eugene Catholic Church, in cooperation with Covenant Presbyterian Church, offers vacation Bible school. HAND OF GOD CHURCH MINISTRIES

On June 28, the church will celebrate its 100th anniversary. On Saturday, June 28, there will be an old-fashioned picnic at the Corbetts’ pond at 3 p.m. Volleyball, horseshoes and fishing will be offered along with a pig pickin’ with all the trimmings.
