Church dinner Table of Grace dinner is held the last Monday of every month at 6 p.m. at Wendell United Methodist Church. There is no charge for dinner. Word of Grace services are held each Monday night at 7 pm. Dress is casual.
Thanksgiving meal Shiloh Temple Cathedral of Deliverance will host a Thanksgiving meal Nov. 26 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church at 445 Old Wilson Road, Wendell.
Wendell Baptist Church will host its second annual Loaves and Fishes community Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 26 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The meal is free. Reserve a seat by calling Tracey at 365-6911.
Northside Community Church will partner with Circus Family Restaurant to prepare 500 meals for the hungry on Thanksgiving Day. Meals will be served at Circus Family Restaurant beginning at 11:30 a.m. Meals will also be delivered. The restaurant is at 1600 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. Turkey shoot Clyde's Chapel Baptist Church will host a series of turkey and ham shoots Nov. 27-28 and Dec. 3-4 from 7-8:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per shot. Concessions will be available. Tutorials offered Beavers Chapel and Hand of God Ministries offer tutorials for all age groups and grade levels every Tuesday evening from 7-8 at Beavers Chapel, 701 Proctor St., Zebulon. All children are welcome. More volunteer tutors are needed. For more information, call 269-9818.

Finance class Hephzibah Baptist Church will offer a class titled "Financial Peace University" beginning in January, 2010. A preview session will be held Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m. Registration deadline for the class is Dec. 20. The class is designed to teach participants how to stay out of debt and build positive cash flow.
Holiday programs Faith Baptist Church, 2728 Marks Creek Road, will host a series of Christmas programs beginning Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. The four- and five-year-olds will perform "Shepherds, Sheep and a Savior," followed by the first- through fifth-grade class, which will perform "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." On Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. the choir and the drama team will partner to perform the musical drama "The Christmas Shoes."
