KNIGHTDALE CHURCH OF GOD “Fireproof Your Marriage” begins Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. It is a church campaign to help strengthen marriages and families consisting of family events, sermons and small groups. Homecoming is Sept. 28 at 11. The group Arise will be singing. Dinner will be provided afterward. The public is invited.

TUTORIALS OFFERED Beavers Chapel and Hand of God Ministries offer tutorials for all age groups and grade levels every Tuesday evening from 7-8 at Beavers Chapel, 701 Proctor St., Zebulon. WAKEFIELD CENTRAL BAPTIST The church is sponsoring a golf tournament Friday, Sept. 19. The captain’s choice is $200 per foursome, or sponsor a hole flag for $100. The church hosts several support group meetings including Narcotics Anonymous for individuals recovering from drug addiction — a program of abstinence; Monday nights at 8. A cancer support group for those dealing with cancer, those who have lost loved ones to cancer, cancer survivors, friends and family members affected by cancer meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Alzheimer’s and dementia support group for family and friends of Alzheimer’s or dementia patients and for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. These support groups are open to the public and meet in the Hendricks Fellowship Hall of the church at 308 Proctor St. in Zebulon.

HEPHZIBAH BAPTIST The church will host a DivorceCare program for people who are separated or divorced and are seeking resources for healing. KNIGHTDALE BAPTIST The church will have a yard sale Saturday, Sept. 27, from 7 a.m.-noon in the family life center, with proceeds going to fund ongoing ministries. Donations can be made until Sept. 24 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the church. Donors will receive a ticket for entrance to the "preview sale" Friday night, Sept. 26 from 6-9. "Faith Works" is a fall series of small-group life enrichment studies offered for adults on Wednesdays from 6:45-7:45 p.m. Faith and Fitness uses plyometrics, nutritional guidance and a devotional time centered around the book “Start Living.” Faith and Finances teaches students how to master their personal finances using Larry Burkett's book “How To Manage Your Money.” Faith and Film explores the great themes of the Bible using excerpts from great movies to illustrate them. Mission Friends is for children ages 3-5, Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors for grades one-six, and Acteens and Youth on Mission for grades seven-12. The public is invited and child care is provided.

EAST GRACE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH The church will host a weekly Bible study Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. Church members and guests will meet at Knightdale United Methodist Church at 621 First Ave., Knightdale.

SAINT EUGENE CATHOLIC The program “Returning Catholics” will be offered beginning in the fall. It is for people who grew up Catholic and want to return to the church. FAITH BAPTIST The church will offer the Dynamic Marriage class for eight weeks on Sundays from 3-5 p.m. beginning Sept. 14. It is an interactive course developed by Family Dynamics and led by trained facilitators. There is a cost for the class. Call the church office at 266-0455 for more information.

UNION CHAPEL BAPTIST The AWANA program for children from birth-sixth-graders is every Wednesday from 6:45-8 p.m. The church is at 2437 Zebulon Road.
