Zebulon — The Zebulon Chamber of Commerce presented various awards, including the Citizen of the Year, at its annual banquet Thursday night.

After the East Wake Academy Singers performed and dinner was served, four awards were presented.

Mayor Bob Matheny introduced the Citizen of the Year. Ann Liles was honored with the title.

Janice Saylor, of Eye Care Associates, was awarded the Chamber’s ambassador of the year.

The large business award, given to businesses with 50 or more employees, was given to U.S. Foodservice, and was accepted by Ron Logan, Vice President of National Accounts.

The small business award was presented to Parrish Realty. Renee Parrish-Helms was present to accept the award.
