Melvin Roy Millberg, Sr.

Melvin Roy Millberg, Sr., 86, died peacefully at his home in New Port Richey, FL on May 26, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy, his parents Chet and Yerda, and an infant son, Melvin, Jr. He is survived by his children Kathy Cusano (Tony), Yerda Miller (Charlie), John Millberg (Lori), Robert Millberg, Brian Millberg (Dee), 9 grandchildren, 4 greatgrands and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mel was retired from the US Navy and from a second career with Nationwide Insurance. He and Dorothy lived in many different places during their long and devoted marriage including several years in Zebulon. He loved life and made lasting friendships everywhere he lived. He will be sorely missed by those friends and his loving family. A memorial service will be held on June 6th at 1:00 pm at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 5326 Charles St, New Port Richey, FL 34652 with a gathering of family and friends to follow at the Hacienda Village Clubhouse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's, The Wounded Warrior Project or the charity of your choice.
