Club Teams: Eastern Wake and JUSA

Position: Goalkeeper

Also Considered: Hope College (Mich.), Grand Valley State, Converse College

Why Randolph-Macon? “I loved the campus and their poly-sci program and law school was a good fit. My overnight visit there was great. I really liked the coaches and the team.”

Major: Political Science

Notable: Lauren has been playing goalkeeper since age 7. “I like it because it’s all or nothing,” she said. “It’s all about keeping the ball from crossing that line.” … She started at goalkeeper for the Pirates her freshman season and has 18 career shutouts and nearly four dozen starts in goal during her career in purple and yellow. She is a former coach’s award winner and a former all-conference selection. … Lauren wants to improve on her goal kicks as she prepares for college soccer.

Corinth Holders coach Alison Vetterl: “Lauren’s work ethic has really helped her develop. She’s got the potential to do well at Randolph-Macon because she’s going to work hard and keep getting better.”
