Massey Dance brings it home

Dancers from Massey School of Dance in Zebulon recently attended several dance competitions, bringing home a host of accolades.


Dancers from Massey School of Dance in Zebulon recently attended four dance competitions, including Sheer Talent, LTD out of New York, in March and April. Nine dancers received scholarships to attend summer workshops. They received numerous Diamond, Elite Platinum and Platinum awards as well as 1st-, 2nd- and 3rd-place overall awards. They competed in the Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Clogging and Hip Hop categories. The dancers ranged in age from 5 to 18 years old. They also won High Scoring Solo, Duet and Groups of the Day in 2 competitions as well as Most Entertaining. The dancers come from Wake County, Franklin County, Johnston County, and Nash County. They qualified and are planning to attend Nationals this summer at Morehead City, NC.

Members of the team were: Madison Radford, Taylor Crabtree, Brianna Jones, Ashley Perry, Taylor Ellington, Carsyn Hicks, Keegan Beck, Peyton Robertson, Hannah Hetrick. Stephanie Dowling, Michelle Preddy, Autumn Holleman, Chloe Roach, Ashley Williford, Yancie Mitchell, Logan White, Anna Grace Bridgers, Peyton Dewey, Lauren Hales, Teagan Dewey, Olivia Jarvis, Dyson Beck, Sarah O'Neal, Tessa Perry, Morgan Billings, Tommi Shae Reed, Hannah Driver, Emily Askew, Allison Bunn, Hunter Viar, Sydney Carroll, Starr Clarke, Jamie Upchurch, Lauren Woodlief, Madison Makar, Maggie Brantley, Meagan Brown, Tayler Ide, Alexandria Raya and Caroline Carter.
