High School: East Wake

GPA: 3.4

Parents: Butch and Julie Earp

Position: Wide Receiver and Safety

Also Considered: Methodist University, Sewanee (Tenn. (The University of the South)), Mars Hill University

Why Greensboro? “I felt like Greensboro was the place for me. It was all one big family and the administrators, coaching staff and players made me feel welcome. After praying about it numerous times, my answer came when I went down to Greensboro on my last visit.”

Major: Exercise Science

Most Memorable: “Beating Garner for the first time in my high school career was my biggest moment while playing at East Wake. Going into the game being the underdogs is what made it so special. We, as a team, were the only ones that believed we had a chance to win going into that game.”

Notable: At outside linebacker, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound senior recorded 41 solo tackles and 15 assisted. He was a team captain his senior season.

East Wake coach John Poulnott: “Connor exemplifies effort and strong determination. His willingness to out-work his teammates has set him up with a great opportunity at Greensboro College.”
