Zebulon Library to close for renovation

Wake County Zebulon Community Library, 1000 Dogwood Drive, Zebulon, will close for minor renovations at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 22 and is anticipated to reopen at the beginning of June. The library is being refurbished with carpet, paint, lighting, furnishings and a refreshed floor plan to make the library more user-friendly. The renovation is part of the 2008 Wake County Capital Improvement Plan.

The outside book return will be closed during the renovation and the due date for books checked out on March 22 will be extended until Saturday, June 21. Library staff will continue to serve the community by offering children’s programs across the street at the Wake County Eastern Regional Center, 1002 Dogwood Drive, Zebulon.

The programs offered are as follows: Toddler Storytimes at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday, March 25 and 27, and Preschool Storytimes at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26.

Toddler Storytimes will resume on Tuesdays and Thursdays in May, and Preschool Storytimes will resume on Wednesdays in May. Members are encouraged to visit any of the other 19 libraries in the county. Libraries in close proximity include the East Regional Library, at 946 Steeple Square Court, Knightdale; and the Wendell Community Library, at 207 South Hollybrook Road, Wendell
