Zebulon clinic offers free spay/neuter surgeries

January 31, 2014

SAFE Haven for Cats has announced the availability of more than 200 free spay and neuter surgeries to Zebulon residents. The opportunity is possible due to a two-year, $51,000 “Operation Kitty Saver” grant the shelter received from PetSmart Charities.

The grant, received in June 2012, allows the free spay or neuter operations for 820 cats within the next two years for Zebulon residents. So far, 600 free surgeries have already been performed, with a remaining 220 available in the next five months.

“Receiving the grant was such an incredible opportunity,” says Sherri Orner, associate director of SAFE Haven for Cats. “As June rapidly approaches, we encourage Zebulon citizens to take advantage of this opportunity by scheduling the free surgery today.”

To schedule an appointment at the SAFE Haven clinic call 872-7730 or email clinic@safehavenforcats.org. Interested residents must provide proof of residency in zip code 27597.
