Wake County celebrates Farm City Day

December 11, 2013

On Nov. 26, Wake County celebrated its Annual Farm City Day at Adams Vineyards in Willow Spring with food and fellowship for all present. Wake County’s Farm City Day luncheon is held the week of Thanksgiving, and is a time to share with friends of agriculture.

Local and federal politicians attended Farm City Day to speak with those in attendance about current issues, and show their appreciation for agriculture in Wake County. Wake County Farm Bureau and Wake County Cooperative Extension sponsored the event.

Many agricultural organizations were represented at the event, including: Wake County Farm Bureau, Wake County Cooperative Extension, Wake County Forestry Service, Wake Soil and Water Conservation District, Wake County Agribusiness Council, Wake County FFA Chapters, AgCarolina Farm Credit, Farm Service Agency, and North Carolina Farm Bureau.
