Knightdale police seek suspects in string of break-ins

From staff reportsDecember 11, 2013

— Police are seeking information to help identify suspects in a string of break-ins in the Timber Ridge, Planter’s Walk, Widewaters and Princeton Manor subdivisions on Dec. 4.

Police are focusing on break-ins on Dec. 4 on the 700 block of Laurens Way, Autumn Ridge, Sternwheel and Stampford Green drives.

Although the break-ins were in different neighborhoods, Captain Lawrence Capps said the proximity of the break-ins to each other made police believe they are connected.

A video of a burglary at Sternwheel Way shows a maroon Chevrolet sedan driving away from the neighborhood. It was described as a Chevrolet Malibu, but police said it could also be a Chevrolet Impala.

Witnesses reported seeing three or four young black males in the car. There is no license plate on the car.

Victims reported electronics were usually taken in the break-ins and police are still waiting on getting final estimates of the total property taken.

Anyone with information should call Knightdale police at 217-2261.
