Mize, Rose named to NCISAA Division II All-State football team

— North Raleigh Christian Academy seniors Jacob Mize and Daniel Rose were recently named to the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II All-State football team.

The Knights teammates were recognized at halftime of the NCISAA Division II championship game between Davidson Day School and Harrells Christian Academy in Charlotte on Friday, Nov. 22.

Mize and Rose, both Wendell residents, were also named to the All-Big East Independent Conference team this season.

Mize, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman, finished the 10-game regular season with 45 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Rose, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound slot receiver, safety and team MVP for the Knights, finished with 1,698 all-purpose yards over the 10 games.

He recorded 79 catches, including 13 touchdowns, and led all NCISAA receivers in the regular season with 1,041 receiving yards. Rose also added 74 rushing yards and 27 tackles.
