From staff reportsNovember 18, 2013

— An 18-year-old man was charged late Tuesday with causing bruises to the face, head, stomach, back arms and legs of his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter.

Wake County sheriff’s deputies arrested Trevon Jocqui Williams at his home at 6999 Coopers Hawk Trail in an unincorporated part of Wake County with a Wendell address.

An arrest warrant charging Williams with intentional child abuse inflicting serious injury said the child was hurt Tuesday and that she was in his care at the time.

An arrest report says deputies took William into custody shortly before 11 p.m., but it is unclear when the incident happened or who called authorities.

Williams was being held in lieu of $60,000 bail for a first court appearance Nov. 13.
