Unified hazard plan
For the first time, Wake County will develop a multijurisdictional hazard-mitigation plan. Previously, each jurisdiction was responsible for developing its own plan to protect life and property by reducing the potential for damage and economic loss from natural hazards. The public is invited to attend a project kickoff meeting from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Wake County Office Building, 337 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, in Room G31.
