The Wake County Public Libraries will provide several educational events during the month of November that will be open to the public. All events will take place at the East Regional Library, 946 Steeple Square Court, Knightdale. For information on any of these events, call the East Regional Library at 919-217-5300.
• Food Fiction will be the topic for the Book Bites program at 1 p.m. Nov. 8. The program will include a recipe exchange, along with a book talk. Participants are invited to bring copies of their favorite recipes, along with favorite books to recommend. Librarians will facilitate the free discussion, and registration is required.
• Find it! Tools for Reading on the Librarys Website will take place at 4 p.m. Nov. 4. Librarians will demonstrate how to find books using the librarys website. No registration is required.
• Participants are invited to the free drop-in program Happy Holidays: Theres a book for that! at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 13. The program will feature tips on holiday cooking, entertaining, decorating, and more. Librarians will be on site for the hour-long session to provide one-on-one reading recommendations and book talks about the upcoming holidays.
• The theme of Novembers trivia series will be What the Dickens? Literary Trivia About the Holidays. The program will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 19, and will feature trivia questions about holiday-themed books and movies in a game for adults of all ages. The program series is free, but registration is requested.
