Questions wanted for Zebulon candidate forum

October 9, 2013

— With the Nov. 5 election on the horizon, the Zebulon Chamber of Commerce and Eastern Wake News are sponsoring a candidate forum to give voters a chance to hear from candidates looking to win seats on the town’s Board of Commissioners.

Candidates for Zebulon commissioner have been invited to a forum set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Incumbent Beverly Clark faces challengers Annie Moore, Anne Marie Mazur, Michael Mazur and Glenn York in this fall’s election. There are two seats open on the town board.

The event is open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers at the Zebulon Municipal Complex, 1003 N. Arendell Ave.

There will be a meet-and-greet session beginning at 6:30 p.m. to give voters an opportunity to meet candidates.

Voters will have the chance to ask questions during the forum. Residents can submit questions to the Eastern Wake News by mail or in person at the newspaper office at 110 N. Arendell Ave. in Zebulon; or by email to

Questions should be issue-oriented and broad enough to be fielded by all candidates. The questions will be drawn randomly from a box during the forum.
