Bryan tours Israel
Wake County Board of Commissioners chairman Joe Bryan returned recently from Israel following a trip with Project Interchange, a nonprofit educational institute of the American Jewish Committee.
This bipartisan delegation of prominent American city, county and state officials participated in an in-depth visit to Israel for intensive dialogue and briefings through Project Interchange, an educational institute of AJC, according to Wake County spokesman, Marshall Parrish.
The delegation included officials from Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Parrish says the trip, which is funded by Project Interchange, is intended to help policymakers understand Israel’s “rich and dynamic society, and often-times complicated realities.”
The delegation met with senior Israeli, Palestinian and Israeli Arab leaders.
Bryan’s delegation toured Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and the northern border with Lebanon.
