KNIGHTDALE — Two former Knightdale High School student-athletes made the 2012-13 All-State soccer teams recently named by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association.
Kaitlyn Eckert was named to the University Division All-State first team for her sophomore season as a forward at UNC-Asheville.
Eckert started in each of the Bulldogs’ 19 games of the 2012 season and dominated the team’s charts in several categories.
She led in scoring with 11 goals and in assists with nine, and nearly 58 percent of her 59 shots were on target.
Craig Gage was named to the College Division All-State second team for his freshman season as a midfielder at Greensboro College.
Gage was one of six Pride players to play in all 20 games of the season, and started in all but two of those games.
For the season, he fired 26 shots (14 on goal), scored five times and added one assist.
