Pair face drug-trafficking charges

Police filed drug-trafficking charges Tuesday night against a Georgia man and a Zebulon woman suspected of transporting ecstasy, known by its chemical acronym MDMA.

Princeton Wayne Bellamy, 40, of 284 Fixdale Court in Winder, Ga., was charged with three counts of trafficking in ecstasy, one count of conspiring to traffic in it and one count of possession of cocaine with the intent to sell or distribute that.

Bellamy had 161 dosage units of ecstasy on one occasion and 121.5 doses a day later, as well as 1.9 grams of cocaine. according to police.

D’Angela Daisa Monk, 31, of 109 E. Judd St. in Zebulon, was charged with conspiracy and with two counts of trafficking in ecstasy.

Police arrested Monk after questioning at headquarters at 6716 Six Forks Road.

Bellamy, who was arrested at a local hotel, was being held on $500,000 bail and Monk on $100,000 bail.
