What’s in a name? Author explains the Lizard Lick moniker

June 17, 2013

Karen Matthews, a writer from Sanford, will be at the Art of Giving Gallery from 10 a.m.-noon to sign copies of her new book “The Legend of Lizard Lick,” a children’s book that recounts the tale of how the Wendell-area crossroads got its unique name.

The illustrated children’s book is suited for children ages 4-12 and includes a cast of characters including frogs and lizards to explain the community’s name.

The Art of Giving Gallery is at 123 N. Main St, Wendell.
