Wake Education Partnership creates Hall of Fame

June 10, 2013

Wake Education Partnership wants to honor Wake County Public School System students and staff members who have done “great things.” The partnership is establishing a Wake County Public School System Hall of Fame and they need nominees.

Part of every school’s history is stories about famous alumni - those students who went on to do great things in business, education, the arts and other fields. As part of its 30th anniversary celebration this fall, Wake Education Partnership plans to honor these individuals and the district, said Tim Simmons, a Wake Education Partnership spokesman.

Nominees should be former students or employees who served in the district for an appreciable amount of time. The categories are education, business, the arts, athletics and community service. Nominations are due by June 15 and the process is open to the public.

For information or to nominate someone call, 919-821-7609 or email tsimmons@wakeedpartnershiptsimmons@wakeedpartnership, or orgtsimmons@wakeedpartnership.orgorgtsimmons@wakeedpartnership.org.. Information is also availabe at wakeedpartnership.org.
