Recruit completes boot camp

Army Pvt. Kaleisha M. Davidson recently completed basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During her nine weeks of training, Davidson studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values and physical fitness. She also received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid and foot marches.

Davidson, a 2007 graduate of Northside High School, Fort Smith, Ark., is the daughter of Ladonna Hamer of Knightdale.
