Arts event

Trail dedicated

The Neuse River Trail dedication activities will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Anderson Point Park, 20 Anderson Point Drive, Raleigh. For event information, call 919-996-3285. The ceremony opens 20 miles of the 28-mile trail that runs from Falls Lake Dam on Falls of Neuse Road to the Wake/Johnston county line. Learn more about the trail at

Charity auction

Zebulon Rotary Club will hold a charity auction 6 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the Rotary/Woman’s Club Building at 405 West Sycamore St., Zebulon. The items to be auction will be on display at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. For information, call 919-269-4589.

The auction raises money for scholarships, youth projects, and support for charitable groups in eastern Wake County.

Supply drive

The Franklin County Humane Society will hold a supply drive 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Youngsville Branch Library, 218 U.S.-1A South, Youngsville. See rescued kittens and cats and enjoy food, games and prizes. For information, call 919-475-2517.

Plant sale

The Perennial Garden Club of Wendell will hold a plant sale from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 27, at the J. Ashley Wall Town Square, Third and Cypress streets, Wendell. Proceeds help fund a scholarship for an East Wake High School senior and civic beautification and maintenance of North Carolina public gardens. Perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs, herbs and vegetables will be available for purchase.

Tour historic homes

Franklin County’s biennial historic homes tour is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 27, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Buy tour tickets at Designs By Donna Florist, 36 N. Kiwanis bike tour

The Knightdale Kiwanis Club will hold a bike tour through eastern Wake County beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27. The race starts at Knightdale High School, 100 Bryan Chalk Lane. Center holds raffle
