Kiwanis to hold bike tour
The Knightdale Kiwanis Club will hold a bike tour through eastern Wake County at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27. Participants can ride courses of 31, 47 or 62 miles. The race starts at Knightdale High School, 100 Bryan Chalk Lane. Registration is $30 if paid by April 15 and $35 if paid after that date. Lions Club fundraiser
Wendell Lions Club is selling barbecue plates 11 a.m.-6 p.m. April 19 in the IGA parking lot in Wendell. Buy $8 tickets from club members.
Red Cross Blood mobile
The American Red Cross Blood mobile is scheduled to be in the East Regional Library parking lot 3-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9. For appointments go to redcross.org and select “Wake Library,” or just show up at the library.
The town of Zebulon has scheduled a series of events in April to promote art:
April 12: Movie on the Lawn,
April 13: Youth Dance Clinics with Carrie Barbour;
April 15-19: Local Youth Art work displayed at the Community Center;
April 19: Youth Celebration Banquet;
April 26: Market on the Lawn (market of local fruits, veggies, eggs, crafts and more with local entertainment such as Massey School of Dance).
The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center, a 39-foot-long, screening center on wheels, will stop at Belk Triangle East Center, 164 Wakelon St., Zebulon, Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m. April 20 to offer free mammogram screenings. Relay for Life
• Road Runners Relay for Life Team will hold its annual Golf Tournament April 19 at the Riverwood Golf Course of Clayton. Tee time is noon and it costs $70 per golfer.

• Clyde’s Chapel Baptist Church Relay team is hosting a car show 11 a.m.-4 p.m. May 4 at 16657 Buffalo Road, Wendell. Rain date is May 11. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
