The first 2013 “Manufacturing Makes It Real Network” event is set for 1:30 p.m. Jan. 23 (today) at Nomaco in Zebulon. The Network’s 2012 season saw record numbers of attendees and standing room only crowds, said Josh Dasal, spokesman for Industrial Extension Service at N.C. State University.
Dasal, says the event’s focus is sustainability and energy efficiency. Nomaco representatives will speak about the company’s commitment to engineering solutions that conserve and reduce impact on natural resources, its recent successes in that area, and information on its products and best practices.
Dasal, says Nomaco’s affiliate, Nomacorc, will share lessons learned from its new solar panel installation. CEO of Sustainable Industrial Solutions, Jason Massey, will also discuss how SIS supported both companies in these initiatives. There’s also a guided factory tour so attendees can see the foam extrusion, patented inline converting processes, warehouse solutions and scrap reuse/reclaim. Also planned will be the Manufacturing Spotlight, a regular show and tell session where Network members present their products and supplier needs to the attendees.
Dasal, says the event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested. Anyone who wants to attend should visit mfgmakesitreal.ies.ncsu.edu. For information contact Dasal at 919-515-5418 or email@example.com.
