RALEIGH - A small claims suit against former Knightdale mayoral candidate Jun Lee has been rescheduled for Feb. 2.

Christopher Telesca, a former campaign worker, in November filed suit against Lee seeking $5,000.

Telesca and Lee were due before a judge on Jan. 5, 2012. But, that date was changed because of paperwork corrections that needed to be made, Telesca said.

Telesca was fired by Lee on Sept. 7, just 11 days after being hired on Aug. 27. His claim against Lee cited misrepresentation, fraud, breach of contract, and loss of commerce as cause for the lawsuit.

Telesca was hired to organize door-to-door campaigning and would have been paid $6,000 had he worked the duration of his contract which lasted until Nov. 8, he says.

Lee in November said that Telesca didn’t show up for work and that Telesca tried to use election to scare Lee into paying Telesca money that “he isn’t owed.”
