Mammal watchers can visit Blue Jay Point County Park Saturday, Jan. 28, 3:30 p.m. for a chance to learn about the state’s oldest mammal, opossums.
Opossums are known for protective pouches, prehensile tails and periodic trash can raids. It cost $5 for the family and visitors have pre-register, call 870-4330.
Blue Jay Point County Park is at 3200 Pleasant Union Church Road, Raleigh.
