•  The Wakefield Central Baptist Church Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service is 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. Come celebrate the meaning of Christmas through message, song, and prayer. The Christmas story will be told and favorite Christmas carols and seasonal hymns will be sung. Children of all ages are welcome to this special worship service.

•  The Wakefield Central Baptist Church Christmas Day worship service is 10:30 a.m. Dec. 25. This will be a family friendly worship service to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus.

•  The Wakefield Central Baptist Church New Year’s Day service is 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1.

•  On Christmas Eve Wendell United Methodist Church is having two services - 5:30 and 11:30 p.m. The Dec. 25 Christmas Day worship service begins at 10 a.m. The church is collecting winter garments during these services including gloves, scarves, socks, jackets, and hats for adults and children. Items will be donated to local relief agencies. There are no Sunday school classes on Christmas Day. The church is located on the corner of Wendell Boulevard and North Main Street in Wendell. •  Christkindel Market offers fresh cut trees, wreathes and garlands through Dec. 23 at the Wendell Farmers Market on the corner of Cypress and Third Street.

•  Wendell Chamber of Commerce needs carolers and musician ages 2 to 99 to perform on Saturdays during business hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Thursdays through December.
