Joris Rickman Bell III, died Sunday. A native of Wake county he was son to the late Eleanor L. Whitley Bell & Joris Rickman Bell, Jr.. He was graduate of the New School of Fine Arts, Coral Gable, FL. He was a writer of music and was an accomplished painter & calligrapher. Joris would often take time to perform ventriloquism at children’s homes and for senior citizens.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Suzanne Michell Harris.

Funeral service 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, Strickland Funeral Home, 211 W. Third St., Wendell with interment to follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his most beloved sister, Florence Sage (Dale) of Wendell; nieces, Diane Garrett-Jones of Wendell, & Joanne Sharon Garrett of Raleigh; 3 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces.

Visitation 7:00-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, at his sister’s home, 6424 Bethany Church Rd., Wendell.
