Fundraiser Trinity Faith Full Gospel Church is having a book and jewelry sale 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. This sale offers last minute shopping opportunities while the shopper enjoys awesome prices on new and gently used books, jewelry, Christmas music and snacks. The ultimate shopping experience will be held in the Doctors I.V. and Bridget Hilliard Fellowship Hall on the church campus, 6600 Hallelujah Blvd. in Wendell.
Christmas presentations The combined choirs of Zebulon United Methodist Church and Covenant Presbyterian Church will present the Christmas cantata, Night of the Father’s Love, 6:30 pm. Sunday, December 18. The worship service is in the sanctuary of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 125 S. Selma Road, Wendell.
• The Children’s and Cherub Choirs of Wakefield Central Baptist Church present a Christmas program 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 in the sanctuary. Enjoy familiar Christmas songs as the children tell the story of birth of the baby Jesus.
• The Wakefield Central Baptist Church Chancel Choir presents their annual Christmas cantata entitled “Mary, Did You Know” (musical arranged by Russell Maudlin) 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. This musical is filled with classic Christmas carols. A nursery is provided for young children.
• The Wakefield Central Baptist Church Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion service is 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. Come celebrate the meaning of Christmas through message, song, and prayer. The Christmas story will be told and favorite Christmas carols and seasonal hymns will be sung. Children of all ages are welcome to this special worship service.
• The Wakefield Central Baptist Church Christmas Day worship service is 10:30 a.m. Dec. 25. This will be a family friendly worship service to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus.
• The Wakefield Central Baptist Church New Years Day service is 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1.
Christmas in Wendell• Christkindel Market offers fresh cut trees, wreathes and garlands through Dec. 23 at the Wendell Farmers Market on the corner of Cypress and Third Street.
• Magnolia Cowboy Church presents a Live Nativity 5 p.m.-8 p.m. today 4111 Wendell Road, 365-3205.
• Wendell Chamber of Commerce needs carolers and musician ages 2 to 99 to perform on Saturdays during business hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Thursdays through December. • Come tour some of the historic old homes in Wendell, on the Wendell Historical Society’s Home tour, 3-8 p.m. Saturday. • The Passage Church is hosting an open to all Christmas party/movie night at the Wendell Community Center 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21.
• Edward Jones is having a holiday open house at 26 N. Main Street Wendell, 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22.
Christmas at the libraries Cookies and storytime with Santa will be held at the East Regional Library, 946 Steeple Square Court, Knightdale, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. There are cookies and surprises for kids of all sizes.
Food drive Knightdale Kiwanis Club members are collecting food for local needy families through Friday. Bring food donations to any local elementary or middle school, the Knightdale Town Hall, Parks and Recreation, Crescent State Bank, or Knightdale Chamber of Commerce.
