Almost 60 women attended the annual fall meeting for District VI of the GeneralFederation of Woman's Clubs of North Carolina.
Members representing clubs in Chatham, Cumberland, Durham, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Orange and Wake counties were greeted with mums, pumpkins and other fall items at the Zebulon Rotary-Woman's Club building where the meeting was held.
Attendees heard about upcoming federation activities from GayWarren, GFWC first vice-president, and B.J. Slovacek, GFWC second vice-president.
They also elected district officers and the program chairwomen. Workshops covered the annual arts festival and the Sallie Southall Cotten Scholarship contest.
