I would like to respond to the letter about the Wendell bakery closing.

I agree the Wendell Chamber of Commerce needs to find a better way to support small business owners and promote their growth. We'd all like to see our historic business district grow with small shops and innovative dining.

The idea of a bakery was fantastic and we visited several times. The Greek pastries were particularly excellent.

Unfortunately, having to walk through a cloud of smoke as the owner sat outside his door and lit up was very distasteful. Perhaps he should consider that as one reason his business failed. It certainly is why he lost our business.
