On Nov. 8 the voters in the town of Wendell will have the opportunity to elect two commissioners and a mayor for the next four years.
Incumbent Mayor J. Harold Broadwell II is seeking re-election for a second term.
I have known our mayor for many years. After opposing him four years ago, he and I had the privilege of working together. I know him to be a person of integrity, honesty, fairness, professionalism and dedicated to serving and representing the citizens of Wendell as a duty of the office of mayor.
Mayor Broadwell does not seek the office for any personal agenda, selfish motive, ego or financial gain for himself. It is a sacrifice of public service.
He has a record of representing Wendell at numerous functions which demands much of his own time.
We need to keep him working for all of Wendell.
I would urge you to consider Mayor J. Harold Broadwell II for re-election as our mayor on Nov. 8.
