Recently our nation had a layer of stress lifted off itself and its inhabitants.

On Monday, May 1st the life of one of the world's most dangerous terrorist leaders - Osama bin Laden - came to an end. All officials are affected by his death, and have been asked what their opinion is of his death.

President Obama says that "Justice has been served."

And in a more closer sense our own senator Kay Hagan gave her opinion in saying "... thinking of what happened to the U.S. on September 11 and the mass murder this man caused, it really brings me satisfaction that the last thing that Osama bin Laden saw was U.S. Special Operations forces kicking in his door."

People all around rejoiced and celebrated his death, while others mourned for a death but were relieved of some stress at the same time. Some cursed his name, posting on different social networks how happy they were over this evil man's death.

I was affected and informed of this from the social networks and all my peers and their views. The morning after he had been killed my class had a discussion for a good 30 minutes to inform everyone and share opinions. The atmosphere in every class was different for me.

You heard the name Osama, or bin Laden throughout every class, and if you turned on the radio or television you would learn new facts on the happening of his death. For every age group there is an overall different opinion, but it is agreed that our country is now thought to be safer. Osama bin Laden was the face of global terrorism and, now, the face we relate these terrorist acts with is gone.

This gives us some comfort in knowing he is gone and can no longer himself lead acts. I feel safer now but I still don't know what to expect from the reaction to his death of others.
