Kenneth “Ken” Russell Whidby, 53, loving father and son died Monday April 11, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Fulton County, Ga. the son of Ruby Shetter Whidby and Leonard Russell Whidby.

A graveside service will be held 11 o’clock Friday morning April 15, 2011 at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Whidby is survived by his daughter, Angela Richardson and husband, Phil of Zebulon; parents, Ruby and Russ Whidby of Raleigh; sister, Vicki Garner of Clayton; brothers, Ron Whidby and wife, Rachel of Raleigh, Rick Whidby of Youngsville; five nieces and one nephew.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, Va. 22312.
