Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Crabtree, Rev. Jack Weathersby, Rev. Sam Cullifer and Rev. Julian Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park. Billy was preceded in death by a nephew, Frankie Peaden.

He is survived by his loving family, including: wife, Judy Hodges Sessoms; son, Kendall Sessoms and wife, Jamie of Zebulon; daughter, Mellissa “ Missy” Sessoms Lewis and husband, Keith of Tarboro; sister, Margie Peaden and husband, Dalton of Fountain; brother, Bennie Sessoms of Tarboro; grandchildren, Johnathan Lewis, Justin Lewis, Gracen Kate Sessoms and Grant Sessoms; great grandson, Bryson Ezzell; special aunt and uncle, Ann and John Hemby of Ayden; special nieces, Wendy Wooten and West of Fountain, Kelly Dew and husband, John Pelphrey of Hillsborough.
